The national church is looking for photos of doors, entrances and gates to use on bulletin covers and showcase in the newspaper and the 2024 edition of the PCC Wall Calendar. We invite you to send us any images from the lives of the church’s ministries or people that represent crossings, meeting places and opportunities for renewal and change.

Moderator Endorses Joint Interfaith Statement on the Treaty to Ban Nuclear Weapons

The 2023 Moderator of the General Assembly of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, the Rev. Mary Fontaine, endorses an interfaith statement on the Treaty to ban nuclear weapons on behalf of the denomination. The General Assembly has previously advocated that the Government of Canada adopt and ratify it (A&P 2018, pp. 286-288, 22).

The letter from the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Canada urges the Prime Minister of Canada to call for a ceasefire, the safe release of all hostages, a safe corridor for humanitarian aid, de-escalation of violence and an end to the blockade in the ongoing violence between Hamas and Israel.
