Since 1981, the Council for World Mission (CWM) has been equipping young people through an intensive Training for Mission (TIM) program. Each year, 10-12 young people are selected from a pool of applicants from various church partners around the globe, for a 10-month intensive mission training program. This provides an opportunity to blend intensive theological reflection with practical experience in different parts of the world. It will deepen your faith as you fellowship and work with Christians from around the world.
In 2014, this training will take place in three countries: Taiwan, New Zealand and Kiribati. All costs are covered by CWM but you must be willing to give 10 months of your time to learning and serving. Read more on the CWM website (www.cwmission.org/programme-areas/empowerment-and-training/).
The Presbyterian Church in Canada is looking to endorse one male and one female from our church to be possible candidates for this placement. CWM then selects participants from the candidates who are nominated from around the world.
