Ministry leaders are invited to participate in a free online course on Saturday, November 6 and 13, at 1 – 5:30 p.m. (Eastern) to learn how to recognize barriers to LGBTQI2+ people in local ministry contexts and how to take further steps towards welcome and inclusion.
The Intergenerational Trauma, Colonization and Anti-Indigenous Racism webinar, taking place on Thursday, September 23, at 1 p.m. (Eastern), will review how systemic racism underpins the colonial roots of Canada and the church, and how this has caused intergenerational trauma for Indigenous peoples and communities.
The Presbyterian Church in Canada has adopted a Workplace Harassment Policy which states that harassment of any kind shall not be tolerated and will be addressed. A 50-minute webinar will be held on September 29, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. (Eastern) to review the principles of the PCC’s Workplace Harassment Policy and the steps that are outlined in the new policy to address complaints of workplace harassment. Time will also be given to discussing how to prevent and address workplace harassment.
Whose Land? Whose Promise? Palestine, Justice and the Bible: A Two-Part Online Conference (Sept. 18 & Oct. 2)
A two-part online conference (of 90-minute webinars each), hosted by Canadian Friends of Sabeel, is being presented by a project-team from Canada’s United, Presbyterian, Mennonite, and Christian Reformed churches. The first session of the online conference will take place on September 18 at 9 a.m. (Pacific), 12 p.m. (Eastern), and a follow-up session will take place on October 2 at 9 a.m. (Pacific), 12 p.m. (Eastern).
