Would you like to serve the church on a General Assembly committee? If you are interested, a reminder that the deadline for nominations for the 2024 General Assembly standing committees is February 28. Please contact your session, presbytery or synod, as all nominations are to be submitted to the General Assembly Office by February 28. Please note that you must be a member or minister of The Presbyterian Church in Canada.

There are 14 standing committees—see the membership as appointed by the 2023 General Assembly. Learn more about the nomination process or read summaries of how each committee is engaged in the life of the church here. The church encourages a diversity of age, race and ethnicity, gender identity and sexual orientation, as well as work and life experiences and theological perspectives on the standing committees. Nominations representing such diversity strengthen the overall mission of the church. Some of the organizations have produced short videos to introduce their work and to walk you through what is most needed to serve. See below.
