People looking for survivors in rubbleOn October 7, the province of Herat in western Afghanistan was struck by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake. A series of aftershocks followed. To date, the United Nations estimates that over 12,000 people have been affected. Both the number of affected households and casualties are expected to rise as assessments continue.
