The Rev. Robert Hill died unexpectedly, but peacefully with family by his side, at the Ottawa General Hospital on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the age of 93. Predeceased by his wife Nancy Chanonhouse and his son Patrick. Predeceased also by his brothers and sisters. Loving father of Sean (Kim). Proud grandfather of John, Sarah (Jeff), Dahel, Spencer and Yasmin. Great-grandfather of Mason, Addison and Jacob.
Rev. Hill was a respected clergy and a community volunteer, donating his time to many organizations and charities.
Friends may support the family at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service Wednesday at Zion-Memorial United Church, 37 Franklin Street, Carleton Place, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
Interment in the spring in Combermere, Ontario.
