Sylvia Haddad, Director of The Joint Christian Committee for Social Services (JCC) in Lebanon, writes in her latest update to partners, colleagues and friends that she shared a sense of relief with the whole country in response to the two-month truce agreement that she and others pray will become permanent. “We are earnestly praying that peace will last and allow people to rebuild their lives, houses and towns. We also continue to pray for the people of Gaza, who have endured more than any human being can endure.” JCC is one of Lebanon’s oldest NGOs working with Palestinian refugees and is part of DSPR (the Department of Service to Palestinian Refugees), founded in 1950.
