Online Workshop for Interim Moderators: A two-part online presentation that provides a general overview of the duties and responsibilities of an interim moderator and some practical suggestions about carrying out those duties and responsibilities.
PART 1 deals with the “Expected Situation” where an interim moderator will be serving in a pastoral charge that will be going through a search process and calling a minister to fill the pulpit vacancy (presented by Tim Purvis, Associate Secretary Ministry and Church Vocations).
PART 2 deals with the “Unexpected Situation” where an interim moderator will be serving in a pastoral charge that will NOT be conducting a search process to call a minister (presented by John-Peter Smit, Regional Minister for Congregational Health for the Synod of Central, Northeastern Ontario and Bermuda).

PART 1: The Candidacy Process: Provides an overview of the pathway to ordination as a Minister of Word and Sacraments in the PCC. It also focuses on the first steps leading to the presbytery’s certification of a student candidate for ministry. This webinar is hosted by the Rev. PART 2: The Candidacy Process: Covers the Guidance Conference and psychological testing, both mandatory components of the discernment process for presbytery-certified student candidates for ordained ministry.
