New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Centre

NLPRC clients - 2026

The New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Centre in Nepal is a farm-style community-living facility, a short drive from the United Mission Hospital in Tansen. Hospital residents in need of long-term mental health support often find a place at the Centre. Here they receive vocational support and mental health treatment and are cared for by dedicated and knowledgeable staff.

Residents are reminded that they are not alone and are encouraged to support both themselves and one another. Social connection is central to the healing process, and the farm offers a therapeutic environment where residents care for chickens, water buffalo, pigs, and crops. The food produced sustains the centre, while surplus is sold to fund programming. Food is also generously donated to a nearby orphanage.

The PCC’s partnership with the NLPRC began in 2018.

The Centre reports:

“The fish farming project is moving forward steadily, though we still require an additional 15 lakh to complete it successfully.

Our pig farm is now 80% complete and showing great promise. We will also need some additional support to bring it to full completion. On a very positive note, our egg production has begun, and we are already selling eggs in the local market. Our chickens are healthy and continuing to grow well.

We are also pleased to share that we have received official government approval for our agricultural operations, which now allows us to legally sell our farm products. This achievement marks an exciting new chapter for our community projects and gives hope for long-term sustainability.

We deeply appreciate your generosity, kindness, and partnership in supporting these efforts. Your continued help is making a meaningful difference in the lives of many families here, bringing hope, stability, and opportunities for a better future.

May God richly bless you for your compassion and unwavering support.”
