Canadian Friends of Sabeel (CFOS) has developed a resource called Authentic Christian Pilgrimage , which seeks to ensure that Canadian Christian groups visiting the Holy Land do so in a way that meaningfully engages the local Palestinian Christian community, acknowledges Israel’s illegal occupation of the Palestinian territories, and operates in a way that is consistent with international law. This resource, developed in consultation with twenty Palestinian organizations, provides a set of principles for church groups to help plan and implement appropriate itineraries for groups visiting the Holy Land.
