Every year, the PCC’s Moderator visits some of the denomination’s international partners to make connections and learn more about the work we support through gifts to Presbyterians Sharing and PWS&D. This year’s Moderator, the Rev. Dr. Pat Dutcher-Walls, is currently in Malawi during the celebrations of  the 100th anniversary of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP). The CCAP is the largest Protestant denomination in Malawi, and its partnership with the PCC spans five decades.

Pat will be visiting churches, PCC partners and PWS&D projects in the south of Malawi.

On the weekend, Pat gave an exposition of Psalm 126 at an event launching a book written by Kenneth R. Ross and edited by Mwawi Chilongozi called “The Church of Central Africa Presbyterian 1924-2024: A Centenary Assessment.” Professor Isabel Apawo Phiri, former Deputy General Secretary of the World Council of Churches and Vice Chancellor of the University of Blantyre Synod, strongly recommends this book, calling it a “must-have for all who have the unity of the CCAP at heart.”
