East Africa is currently facing a severe humanitarian crisis, which has been exacerbated by conflict in Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo as well as extreme weather events across the Horn of Africa. The result is that many people have been displaced from their homes and many more are experiencing high levels of hunger.
Through our membership at Canadian Foodgrains Bank, PWS&D is participating in the Humanitarian Coalition’s Crisis in East Africa appeal. Between May 1 and June 30, your donations are eligible to be matched by the Government of Canada, up to $5 million. This doubles your impact to help provide food to people in need.
