Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. Hunger, climate change and health issues, including high rates of maternal and neonatal deaths, malaria and the pandemic spread of HIV and AIDS, continue to undermine development and efforts to escape poverty.
Join us for one of three opportunities to hear from PWS&D global partner, Mphatso Nguluwe-Chikhwaza. Mphatso is the Director of the Synod of Livingstonia Health Department in northern Malawi. In this role, she oversees the management and coordination of synod health services, which includes three hospitals and 12 health centres.
Mphatso will share about health challenges in Malawi, which are being worsened by ongoing economic challenges and the climate crisis. She will also share how PWS&D programs are helping address these challenges.
There will be three opportunities to engage with Mphatso – two in-person and one online. (The presentation will be similar at each event.)
