Our Partnerships

PWS&D is working with Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB) and Church World Service – Pakistan/Afghanistan (CWS-P/A) to improve access to food, empower women through self-help groups, develop small businesses, and provide loans and literacy training, which aim to increase food security. Women are saving and lending money on a regular basis, increasing their incomes and confidence.

Farmers are learning about sustainable farming, gardening, land conservation, food preservation and irrigation. Farmers are accessing seeds to diversify their crops, and water storage ponds are built to irrigate farms and increase yields for improved nutrition. Farming resource centres are providing a place for farmers to store seeds, discuss ideas and share equipment. Through this comprehensive program addressing the root causes of vulnerability and poverty, lives are changing in Pakistan.
