The Government of Canada has proposed extending the deadline for 2024 charitable donations. Please note that Parliament has been prorogued until March 24. Should the legislation pass when parliament resumes, donations submitted by February 28, 2025 would be eligible to be included as part of either your 2024 or 2025 tax return.

You can also make a gift to PWS&D using the Gifts of Change catalogue.
Credit card donations can be made by calling 1-800-619-7301 x291.
For individuals using e-transfer: Send an Interac e-transfer to [email protected]. Please include your name, other necessary details, and gift designation(s) in the comments section.
For congregations using e-transfer: Send an Interac e-transfer to [email protected]. In the comments section, enter the congregation ID, name, city, and gift designation(s).
In Person: You can drop off cheques in person at the national office (50 Wynford Dr. in Toronto). Ring the bell at the front door, and someone will be glad to help you.
By Mail: If you’re using Canada Post, please wait to send cheques until mail has resumed for at least a few days. Our previous experience has been that cheques sent in the mail during a strike can be lost.
Cheques should be made out to PWS&D and addressed to:
Financial Services, PCC
50 Wynford Drive
Toronto, ON
M3C 1J7
If your envelopes don’t have Presbyterians Sharing or PWS&D on them or if people tend to give directly to the national office instead of through the congregation, consider including this announcement in your bulletin or using the downloadable slide found here before worship services.
Announcement: Due to the current postal strike, you can make year-end donations to Presbyterians Sharing, PWS&D, Gifts of Change, or other PCC mission programs online or by sending your gift via Interac e-transfer to [email protected]. In the comments, please indicate your name and receipt information.
If you give through our congregation, feel free to designate these gifts on your envelope. We will get the funds to the national office before their 2024 books close.
The PCC has a comprehensive list of how to send gifts and payments to the national office during the strike. Find it here.
