Coming Out: Guidance for Pastoral Care Providers

Date: Wednesday, February 15
Time: 1–2:30 p.m. (Eastern)

For LGBTQI2+ people, choosing to come out about their sexual orientation or gender identity within their church community can be a significant decision. This webinar will equip ministers, elders, youth leaders and other pastoral care providers to respond well when members of their communities come out, and provide information about how to offer appropriate supports.

The webinar will include a one-hour presentation, which will be recorded and sent to all registrants following the event. After the presentation, there will be 30 minutes for questions and discussion with the presenter, Michael Waxman. The question and discussion time will not be recorded in order to help create a non-judgmental space for participants.
