Fires continue to burn along large swaths of Canada. Both the British Columbia and Northwest Territories governments have declared states of emergency in response to large-scale, devastating fires. <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Join us in praying for all affected: <\/p>\n

God of earthquake, wind and fire,<\/i><\/p>\n

we look to you to aid us as we seek to tame the natural forces<\/i><\/p>\n

that rock us with their fury.<\/i><\/p>\n

We remember especially this day the people of British Columbia, the Northwest Territories and other areas affected by wildfire. <\/i><\/p>\n

Protect those in danger,<\/i><\/p>\n

help the injured,<\/i><\/p>\n

comfort the grieving,<\/i><\/p>\n

and soothe the anxious.<\/i><\/p>\n

Strengthen and guide all those who serve in emergency services, including firefighters, <\/i><\/p>\n

paramedics, nurses and doctors, <\/i><\/p>\n

and all who bring comfort and relief.<\/i><\/p>\n

And help us to serve and support with our deeds as well as our prayers.<\/i><\/p>\n

In the name of Jesus, we pray.<\/i><\/p>\n

In consultation with presbyteries in the affected areas, PWS&D will respond to the most urgent needs identified.
