Assumane Agy lives with his wife, son-in-law and two grandchildren in Chidzizima village in Mozambique. When Cyclone Idai flooded the village, Assumane had to be carried up to the highway, which was above the flood level, where he rode out the three days of the flood. After the flood, he was told to go home, but his home had been destroyed. Family members from 50 km away heard that Assumane had lost his home and came to help rebuild. PWS&D is supporting ACT members providing food and hygiene items to Assumane’s family and others in the community. Photo: ACT Alliance
