Over 2.6 million people in Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe are in desperate need of humanitarian aid due to flooding from Cyclone Idai.

Cyclone Idai made landfall in southern Africa on March 14, with high winds and rains leaving a trail of devastation. The official death toll continues to rise.

Severely damaged crops and infrastructure, and limited access to electricity and water supplies have left survivors in need of basic necessities. Water sources have been contaminated and the risk of cholera and other diseases is high.

Emergency food, water and shelter are required to meet immediate needs.

PWS&D is in close contact with partners in the affected areas and is responding to meet immediate needs and bring relief to those suffering in the wake of the cyclone. Your gift will be used to provide urgently needed, life-saving assistance.

International Ministries staff, the Rev. Dr. Blair and Vivian Bertrand, are serving in southern Malawi and providing updates on the situation.
