Narrative Budgets – Telling the Story of Your Congregation’s Ministry

A narrative budget is a simple, easy-to-read version of your congregation’s line-item budget. Where spreadsheets and numbers can be confusing for many, a narrative budget tells the story of your church’s mission and ministry. It connects your budget to your vision and shares it in a way that people will both understand and want to support. It links dollars to mission – encouraging, inspiring and informing donors about the importance and impact of their financial gifts.

Knox, Calgary has shared their narrave budget as an example of what congregations can do.

Please feel free to use this as a guide to create your own narrative budget.
