With less than a month’s notice of illness, Béatrice continued her journey from life unto life. Her extended family gathered with her from France and across Canada for the long Thanksgiving weekend, and Béa died loved and loving two days later.
In addition to her husband (Andrew), children Gabrielle (Greg and Matéo, Fort Nelson BC), Emmanuelle (Richard, Calgary), Michel (Ottawa), Béa leaves her parents Georgette and Michel Lévêque (Corsica), sister Valerie (Alain, Montpellier), brother Michel (Ana, Rome), brother-in-law Ian (Kelly, Halifax), sister-in-law Mary (Ian, Ottawa) and ten nieces and nephews in Canada and Europe.
After studies in Paris, Edinburgh and McGill, Béatrice taught in public schools of Montréal (Roslyn, Lasalle), Ottawa (Centennial, Connaught) and Kingston (occasional in retirement). She gave of herself generously and patiently to all.
With Béa we received a gift from God and we will honour the gift with our lives.
A Service of Thanksgiving to God and of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Ottawa Saturday October 22, 1 p.m. with a reception to follow. Limited free parking available behind the Supreme Court. Live-streaming at https://youtu.be/ozHFmqX8z0o.
Memories and greetings would be welcome by the family at rememberingbea [at] gmail [dot] com Should thanksgiving donations also be considered, the family suggests supporting public school breakfast programmes in Ottawa or in Kingston .
