July 2020

Justice, Healing & Reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples
On July 3, the PCC released a statement condemning and calling for an end to systemic racism and violence against Indigenous Peoples in Canada. The statement names and mourns the 8 Indigenous people who died during police encounters between April 8 and June 19. The church encourages and recommends a number of concrete actions that can be taken to help forge a path forward toward healing and justice for Indigenous Peoples.

Calling Congregations to Submit Photos to
the Presbyterian Connection Newspaper
The Summer 2020 issue of the Presbyterian Connection newspaper was sent out in early June, and we have received a lot of positive messages in response. People have let us know that the uplifting photos from congregations gave them a sense of interconnection that was much needed during this time of global pandemic.

Help us continue to provide these much needed connections by submitting photos of what’s been happening at your church for the Gatherings section of the Fall 2020 issue. The submission deadline is July 15, 2020.
