Ministry leaders in The Presbyterian Church in Canada are having to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. In this new context, leaders need thoughtful, wise and prayerful approaches to ministry in order to faithfully navigate this time.

To help ministry leaders think through and develop potential next steps, the Life and Mission Agency is offering free one-time coaching sessions.

When you apply for this program you will be put in contact with a trained Presbyterian coach who is currently serving as a ministry leader in the PCC. These coaches are drawn from coaching networks connected to the PCC’s new congregational development and congregational renewal programs.

A coach will be able to provide support and encouragement in the following areas:

  • Promoting community in a time of social distancing
  • Providing pastoral care
  • Community outreach
  • Governance and decision making
  • Building leadership capacity and encouraging new leaders
  • Deepening discipleship

Coaching sessions will be hosted by videoconference or by phone, if necessary.

This program is for key ministry leaders including ministers, clerks of session and Christian educators.
