Today we join with people across the country to pause to reflect on the sacrifices made by our brave service men and women. We observe the collective act of two minutes of silence as we stand together and reflect on the price of freedom.
O God, on this day of Remembrance, look upon the unrest in the world and be pleased to complete the work of your healing hand. Send peace upon the earth; a deeper and more lasting peace such as the world has never known. O God, whose presence is our comfort and strength that sustains us, we remember in gratitude the great courage and selfless services of so many brave men and women who answered the call to serve in uniform. May truth, faith and freedom flourish, so that the sacrifices of those who have died in the name of freedom may not have been made in vain. In your holy name, we pray. Amen
