For many churches, Vacation Bible School (VBS) programs are an important outreach ministry to children and families living in their communities. Each summer, the Synod of Saskatchewan hires a summer ministry student to travel throughout the region assisting with pulpit supply, as well as developing and delivering a VBS program for several congregations.

This year’s student minister is Guy Laberge, who attends Presbyterian College in Montreal, QC. This week, Guy helped to organize a VBS at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Swift Current, Saskatchewan (a Supporting Ministry grant recipient). Almost 95 children have participated in the camps that Guy has led, with the help of many volunteers. The camps feature music, creative crafts, fun recreation, and memorable Bible stories designed to teach children about Jesus and his love for them.

Has your church hosted a VBS program? If yes, please post a picture or share your story on the PCC Facebook page.
