Child Care

Recent changes in the Ontario legislation are affecting the way churches and ministries in the province of Ontario can welcome children under the age of four into their programs. The national office has consulted its legal team and recommends the following:

  1. We do not recommend that children below the age of four attend Vacation Bible School or other day-long programs.
  2. If a child below the age of four is enrolled in a program run by one of our congregations or ministry sites, parents or legal guardians should be on site for the duration of the program. Parents can elect to have a responsible adult accompany their child to the program if they provide written permission. This applies to all programs regardless of their length, including Sunday School.
