Our Partnerships
PWS&D is working with the Institute for Women’s Research, Training and Development (IMU) in El Salvador to help overcome poverty through health, education and income generating projects, while assisting in the democratic reconstruction of El Salvador. Through the formation of study circles, women learn about defending their human rights in the home and wider community. Coordinators from the study circles travel to the capital, San Salvador, once a month to attend workshops which they reproduce for their study circles. Some of the women trained have since gone on to run for municipal government offices or have formed official women’s associations. Together, women and men in El Salvador are working to bring about peace, justice and equality for all.
